Sanguine Pencil - The colour of the Conté à Paris "Sanguine" pencil is a deep "rust" and its lines are easily blended.
The Conté Sanguine XVIII Pencil is a deep rust colour. It has similar properties to the other “Sanguine“ pencils in that with a sharpened lead the drawing is accurate and the colour is transparent but will deepen as pressure is applied with a worn lead.
The Conté Sanguine Medici Pencil is the darkest of the Conté “Sanguine“ pencils. The Medici Pencil and has a the least red oxide of the pencils in the range. It has similar properties to the other “Sanguine“ pencils in that with a sharpened lead the drawing is accurate and the colour is transparent but will deepen as pressure is applied with a worn lead.
